In Cub Scout Pack 442, we're all about having fun. But we're also all about learning, growing, and experiencing the world through the traditions of Scouting. We created this Web site to keep our families updated on the activities of Pack 442 of Lakeway Elementary School, as well as to answer some general questions about Scouting. NEW: Be sure to join our Yahoo group to stay up-to-date with the latest news and information and share information with your pack. We are no longer using our pack e-mail distribution list. Why Scouting?

Who can be a Cub Scout?
Cub Scouting has program components for boys in the first through fifth
grades (or ages 7, 8, 9, or 10). Members join a Cub Scout pack and are
assigned to a den, usually a neighborhood group of six to eight boys.
First-grade boys (Tiger Cubs) meet twice a month, while Wolf Cub Scouts
(second graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third graders), and Webelos Scouts
(fourth and fifth graders) meet weekly.
Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and pack committee. The committee includes parents of boys in the pack and members of the chartered organization (the Lake Travis Lions Club). We usually meet at the Lakeway Activity Center on the 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
